Bilingual Mental health professional and Counselor specializing in counseling survivors of domestic violence, children and adolescents, and multicultural counseling, with extensive experience working as a teacher, mentor, and consultant. She obtained an B.A. in International Studies and Spanish from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. Sakeena has a masters degree in counseling psychology with a generalist concentration from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology Washington D.C. campus. She has been working with various populations including clients that suffer from addiction, mental illness, trauma, domestic abuse, etc.
Sakeena’s expertise and interests include cultural competency, post traumatic stress disorder, working with bicultural and multicultural families in transition, refugees, and orphans, survivors of violent crimes, women’s issues, gender based violence, sexual, and domestic violence. Sakeena has an assertive and directive therapeutic approach and believes in addressing conditions in a holistic manner.
