Upcoming changes and leaves of absences at ECWMG

Dear Patients,

As we enter the summer, there are several changes that are happening amongst providers and staff. This is related to a lot of good news and four new babies! We are hoping to make these transitions as seamless as possible and ask your for patience.

Most of you have noticed that Dr. Amy Teng is pregnant and we’re looking forward to meeting her newborn in early July. Dr. Teng will be out of the office from the end of June until the end of September.

Dr. Rania Awaad is expecting a new baby in August. She will be out from the end of July until November.

Sandrine, our lovely Medical Assistant, is also due in July. She will be out from next week until early September.

Nadia Wadalawala, RN, our Lactation Educator, is due in June and is already off work. She will be returning end of August or September.

Finally, and with great sadness, I have to also announce that Atefeh, our office
manager, will be leaving in July. She is moving out of the area after 6 years with us at ECWMG. She is in charge of a lot at the office, including billing and patient accounts. We are currently interviewing for her replacement and expect to have someone in place by July.

As you can imagine, this is a lot for an office to schedule around all at once. We are very happy to have four new ECWMG babies join us and are doing our best so that all of our patients continue to get the excellent care you are used to.

We do ask for your patience with both scheduling, returning telephone calls and any billing inquiries.  We will not be accepting new patients during the summer to allow for timely care for all our current patients, but there may be some days where there are delays in getting back to you.

Rest assured that Dr. Balassiano and myself will remain the only physicians on call for any hospital care (deliveries and gynecologic care) during Dr. Teng’s absence. Barb Dehn, NP, will be increasing her schedule to help us see all of our patients in a timely manner.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you,
