MonaLisa Touch™ Vaginal Treatment
When most women think of menopause, they are reminded of annoying symptoms like hot flashes and night sweats. However, women are often reluctant to talk about more embarrassing symptoms like vaginal itching, burning, and dryness that can affect their intimate relationships and quality of life. The MonaLisa Touch laser offers a new, minimally invasive solution to treat some of the most uncomfortable symptoms of menopause.
How Does the MonaLisa Touch Procedure Work?
The MonaLisa Touch uses a C02 fractional laser to relieve some of the most common symptoms of hormonal changes caused by menopause. The laser is inserted into the vagina and its laser pulses stimulate new collagen production in the vaginal walls. Laser vaginal rejuvenation naturally increases blood flow and lubrication to help improve the natural function of the vagina. Women who suffer from vaginal dryness, itching, or experience painful sex or urination, can experience relief from their symptoms with MonaLisa Touch laservaginal treatments.

What to Expect During Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation
MonaLisa Touch laser vaginal rejuvenation is an outpatient procedure that lasts less than 30 minutes. Some patients may start experiencing relief from their symptoms after the first treatment, although three or four sessions are normally recommended to achieve the best outcomes. Laser vaginal rejuvenation is not painful, but an anesthetic cream can be applied before the procedure to reduce discomfort. Patients should refrain from sexual activity for two days following the procedure, but can otherwise resume their normal routines without any downtime.
